We first broke news about the release of the air Jordan 2009 back in November, and featured a white color scheme for you guys today. Today we feature some detailed pictures of an all black colorway with reflective effects as well as gold accents.
The Air Jordan 2009 Black/Gold features a look that will undeniably break necks. Some may hate, but this colorway featuring patent leather and gold accents, and a silky smooth toebox reminiscent of the Jordan XI’s of the past, will be grabbing attention from even those that aren’t sneakerheads. A few weeks ago we covered the release of the Air Jordan 2009 S23 at Footlocker’s House of Hoops in Harlem, and we just wanted to know that the first general release for the Air Jordan 24 model took place today. Designed by Jason Mayden, the shoes are inspired by the defensive play of Michael Jordan. The AJ 2009 also draws inspiration from the sport of fencing, features which are most noticeable along the upper’s pleated panels and wire mesh ventilation. Jordan Brand also introduces Articulated Propulsion Technology, or APT, which was inspired by elements of prosthetic running technology that Paralympians such as Jordan Brand athlete April Holmes use in competition. Hints of this are seen on the shoe’s heel area. The APT energy return system aims to offer support and explosive feedback for an athlete during play with the help of two engineered platforms along the outsole that help to give a propelling sensation. Along with the heel and forefoot Zoom Air Units, there is a third heel Zoom Air unit embedded in the insole for added cushioning. All of these features help establish the AJ 2009 as one of the best basketball shoes ever created.

The Black/Varsity Red/White colorway is set to releaseon April 4th 2009. It is predominantly black with red accents added to the tongue, heel and ever present diamond-shaped hologram.
This ( Air Jordan 24 - 2009 - Black / Varsity Red / White  )past weekend marked the official release of the Air Jordan 2009 S23 Black/Metallic Gold. However, we have seen two more colorways set to drop - the Air Jordan 2009 White on Valentine’s Day and this Air Jordan 2009 Black/Varsity Red-White on April 4th, 2009. Similar to the Air Jordan 2009 colorway that dropped this past weekend, it contains a predominately black upper. Yet, it is an exact opposite colorway of the all-white pair. It also contains red accent on the tongue, heel and the diamond-shaped hologram on the side. A new colorway of the Air Jordan 2009 model has recently surfaced online, possibly displaying one of the best colorways yet. Previously we viewed two color schemes of the Air Jordan 2009, making this the third mock up to surface online so far. This version of the Air Jordan 24 uses a black, varsity red and white color scheme. Sadly, the varsity red was left to the sole, leave the upper made of just black and white. The sneakers have a lot of potential for some pretty sick colorways so im sure we will se JB coming through with some pretty popular smashups in the long run.

Chris Paul of the New Orleans Hornets has seen some interesting PE’s created just for him in many Jordan Brand models including the Air Jordan 6 (SIX) Rings and his own signature shoe. Here we feature a pair of Air Jordan 2009’s which are perceived to be the next big thing from Jordan Brand. They feature a predominantly white upper along with red accents and were created specially for to wear during the 2009 All Star Game.We doubt they will be available to the public but if any ofthat changes we will let u know.

Like Chris Paul, Ray Allen has seen plenty of PE’s from Jordan Brand. The difference is, he does not have his own signature shoe, so he get some of the hottest player exclusives ever including the Air Jordan 8 (VIII), Air Jordan 2.5, Air Jordan 6 (SIX) Rings and now the Air Jordan 2009.

These were created exclusively for him and feature a white and blue color palette to match the Eastern Conference All Star Jerseys. Remember, he was added to the All Star reserve list to replace Jameer Nelson who went down with that season ending shoulder surgery.

Unlike the Air Jordan 2009 - Ray Allen PE we just featured this pair features a primarily white upper with less navy blue accents on the side panels. They are constructed from a combination of white leather and satin, as well as navy blue and university blue accents.
Created specially for Joe Johnson to wear in the upcoming NBA All Star Game, they were created to match the jerseys of the Eastern Conference All Stars. They are not scheduled to release, but don’t be surprised if you were to see them drop in limited numbers at some point in the near future.
